Children’s Ministry

Our Children’s Ministry is a joyful place where kids from birth through 5th grade learn about God’s love in a fun, safe, and engaging environment. We’re passionate about helping children grow in faith as they discover the truths of God’s Word through worship, Bible lessons, and creative activities.

Our regular club nights will be on Wednesday, 6:00-7:30 with a light meal at 5:45. I would love to talk to more about how your child can get involved in this amazing ministry.

Senior Adult Ministry

One of our most important ministries here at Northside is our Senior Adult Ministry. The Bible tells us to honor and care for the elderly. We do more than that. We also celebrate them! Each month we host a senior adult luncheon with a special activity or entertainment planned by our senior adult director. Special day trips and weekend trips out of town are also planned regularly. If you would like to know more about our Senior Adult Ministry, please speak with Camille Jolly.

Missions

We believe the best way to honor our Savior is to carry out His command of making disciples of all nations and baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We do this in three ways:

We Are Supporters

We financially support the Southern Baptist Convention through the Cooperative Program as well as the International Mission Board through special offerings like Lottie Moon, Annie Armstrong, and Janie Chapman.

We Are Equippers

As a congregation, we participate in two very special year-long projects to help meet the physical and spiritual needs of those in our community.

.

- Our Careportal Ministry works closely with the Croswell Children’s home to meet the immediate physical needs of families active in the foster care system so that we can build relationships with them that will hopefully lead them into a closer walk with Jesus Christ. If you would like to know how to become involved with this ministry, please see Michelle DeVine.

.

- The Bible tells us to “train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.” In 2026, we launched a daycare ministry to reach children in the name of Jesus in the hopes that, when they grow up, they will not depart from the knowledge or spiritual development they receive while being a part of our program. We pray that this ministry allows us to continue being a beacon for Christ to young families in our community for years to come.

.

We also support other local ministry parters, such as Sumter United Ministries and the Sumter Advocacy Center

We Are Senders

Each year our congregation forms and trains a summer mission team to go to a different part of the world in the name of Jesus. We make both international and domestic mission trips, having already been to places as close as Atlanta and as far away as Zambia. If you are interested in being a part of our next trip, please see Pastor Billy.

Our Purpose:

To Expand the Kingdom of God on Earth by setting ourselves as a SEAL upon the arm of Christ (Song of Solomon 8:6) as His bride preparing ourselves and the rest of the world for His return (Revelation 19:7-9) by

Seeking the Lost (Luke 15:3-7)

Equipping the Saved (11 Timothy 2:1-7)

Advancing the Gospel (Matthew 28:16-20, James 2:14-26)

Loving One Another (John 13:34-35, I John 4:7-21)
